An ugly green desk- Curatorial statement.
The green backgorund represents the green desk in my apartment, by which i have been doing the assignmenets and studying for the course.
I decided to use maps to represent the way my work spread from being physically very near to me on my desk in Aarhus in the first assignment, to physically far in away in Palestine. The Combination of maps and the green desk background is designed to reflect the way i usually work and understand things in my major, classical archaeology, where physical objects are an essential aspect and differs a lot from 2d datasets and visualisations.
It is also meant to represent my journey in understanding the philosphy behind the course. I realised that the human aspect will alway have a place in data and that the creating or collecting is a curatorial process in itself, that might have more in common with art than maths, as it's an attempt of communication and expression from one human to other humans.
